Installing a toilet is not as difficult as some may think. Basically, they are sold with everything you need to install it and as long as the plumbing is already in place, as it should be if you are replacing one. Anyone with a small amount of know how can do it.

The three basic things you have to do to install a toilet are install the wax ring onto the toilet, put the bowl in place and attach the tank. Additionally, you will have to install a seat which is usually sold separately.

If you have never installed a toilet before, it is probably a good idea to set all the pieces in place once to make sure you have everything that you need and to see how it will fit together.

Make sure that you inspect the floor and wall for any existing damage if you are replacing an old one. Any damage will need to be fixed before installing a new toilet.
